Below you find all pertinent information related to the tournament and it will be updated as information becomes available.
Inspections
Friday - Teams are strong encouraged to complete inspections on Friday evening from 5-8 PM, especially rookie teams.
Saturday - Teams that don't complete inspections Friday night can be inspected between 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM.
Follow the signs when you pull into the school for inspection locations as they are in different locations on Saturday than they are on Friday.
Compass Award
The compass award will not be awarded at this competition.
Judging
Judging will take place on Saturday, January 17th from 8AM to 10AM. A link to sign-up for preferred judging times will be sent the beginning of December. Pit interviews will take place Saturday as well..
Engineering portfolios can be turned in physically on either Friday or Saturday during check in.
Food
Concessions will be provided on Saturday as well as a lunch ordering option for teams. The lunch order form can be found below. There are also plenty of local restaurants located within 1/2 mile of the venue. The concession stands will only accept cash.
Cancellation Policy
The FTC Tournament will be cancelled only if Van Wert County is under a Snow Emergency. Please refer to local news and radio for current county advisories. Under all other conditions the tournament will go on as planned.

Hotel Accommodations
Hotels are conveniently located 1.6 miles from Van Wert High School right off of US 30
For Holliday Inn Express: Call the hotel directly @ 419.238.2600. Use block code: Van Wert Robotics Team. Rooms must be reserved by January 20th, 2025 to receive the $150.14 room rate.
For Comfort Inn: Call the hotel directly @ 419.232.6040. Use block code: Van Wert High School Robotics. Rooms must be reserved by January 27th, 2025 to receive the $109 room rate.
After January 17th, hotel rooms will be released from the block and available to the general public.

Directions
If you are coming from the Holiday Inn or Comfort Inn you will take Washington St. South to Fox Rd. Turn right on Fox Rd. Follow that to Shannon St. (118) and Turn Left. You will see the school on the right. When you turn into the school, go to the left side towards the High School. Park in the back lot by the tennis courts. You will come in the athletic entrance to the school.
