Van Wert High School is hosting the Van Wert, OH FTC Remote Qualifying Tournament for the 2020-2021 season.

Below you find all pertinent information related to the tournament and it will be updated as information becomes available.
Judging Information & Sign-Up
Judging will take place on Friday, February 5th with 1 hour scheduled sessions between 3:15 - 8:00 PM. Judging will then continue on Saturday, February 6th with scheduled 10 minute callbacks between 9:00 - 10:25 AM. On Friday the first 20 minutes of your 1 hour session will include a team readiness session with a FTA, referee and robot inspector. This will be followed by a 10 minute break and then 30 minutes for judging. You will only have 20 minutes for judging (5 minutes uninterrupted, 10 minutes for Q&A, 5 minutes to run the robot). The 30 minutes is provided to give you time to get setup or to handle any technical issues that might arise.
Judging will be scheduled on a first come first served basis via a form that will open on Saturday, January 2nd at 10:00 AM. You will mark down your top three choices for Friday and Saturday.

Team Readiness
During your Friday 1 hour scheduled Zoom session you will be placed into a room with a referee, FTA and robot inspector. They will virtually inspect your robot, have you run a match, go over scoring with you and answer any questions you might have. This will take place before judging and will last approximately 20 minutes.
Judging
Judging will take place Friday evening and Saturday morning. Please see the information above for time slots and how to sign-up for a judging slot.
Below you will find a link to a form to submit all judging documents. All documents including the judging portfolio and award specific items such as the compass award are due no later than 11:59 PM on Sunday, January 31st.. 2021.
Compass & Promote Award
These videos need to be uploaded into a google drive, dropbox or an equivalent file sharing site. A shareable link then needs to be sent to: z_mcelroy@vwcs.net no later than 11:59 PM on Sunday, January 31st, 2021. Make sure to properly grant access so the video can be downloaded by us. Before submitting please make sure they meet the requirements of the award.
Deans List
Dean's list will be handled this year by Ohio FTC and not by the qualifying tournaments. All submissions need to be received by January 15th, 2021 and the interview only event will take place February 27-28, 2021.

Awards Ceremony
The awards ceremony will take place via Zoom on Saturday, February 13th at 10:00 AM. The link for the zoom meeting will be posted here as we get closer to the date

Throughout the week of the tournament be sure to upload your 6 official match scores into the cloud-based scoring server. You can find more information about submitting scores below.
